Athena Cribbage Board

The Ridgeway Woodcraft Athena Cribbage Board offers a traditional scoring layout in beautifully complimenting hardwoods. The lid forms the scoring board and inside is a cavity for 2 packs of playing cards (not supplied) and the scoring pegs.

The scoring pegs are made from brass and acrylic and are stored in a rotating housing preventing them from falling out during storage or transit. Generally 2 pairs of scoring pegs are supplied with each board, but more can be supplied and housed if required. Please specify scoring peg colour preference at the time of ordering.

Generally the body or box is made from one wood and the playing surface on top is made from a contrasting wood. The board is finished with 2 coats of sealer, followed by 2 coats of antique wax which is then buffed.

Board dimensions are approximately 280mm x 100mm x 50mm.

This particular board is made from a dark brown mahogany type wood figured with black streaks, although the exact species is unknown. The top playing surface is made from two types of Wenge, Black Wenge and White Wenge. The card and scoring peg cavities are lined with black felt. 





The board below is made primarily from American White Ash. The top playing surface is made from laburnum, cut into 3mm thick veneers with a 9mm MDF core at the centre. The card and scoring peg cavities are lined with green felt.
